Ontario Job Fair - September
In September 2008 Sunshine Village will be participating in a recruitment fair in Ontario. We will hold interviews and offer jobs to suitable candidates. The positions we will be hiring for include; Lift and Gondola Operators, Servers, Bartenders, Base Area Attendants, Administrative positions, Baristas, Cooks, Sous Chefs, Dishwashers, Daycare staff, Front Desk Agents, Guest Service, Retail Sales Associates, Restaurant Supervisors, Warehouse, Rentals, Transport and Trail Crew. Take the opportunity to come to Banff with a job already arranged! Some of these positions will include accommodation, but we cannot offer accommodation to all of our job seekers. Banff Hiring Clinic - October
October: We will be hosting our Annual Hiring Clinic in Banff again this year. This popular recruiting fair has been ongoing for many years now, and is where we hire quite a few of our staff. This year our fair will be one day and held at the Banff International Hostel. It's a great opportunity to meet with Supervisor's of the departments you want to work for! In order to attend the clinic we will hold initial/first interviews over the phone and in person before October 8th. The information you have from our website and the first interview should help you determine what positions you might be interested in interviewing for. We will evaluate your related qualifications and suitability to create 1-2 job specific interviews for you on one of the hiring clinic days.

Dates of the Clinic
Tuesday October 14th

Our tentative opening date is November 7th, this is weather dependant. Our season usually runs until the third week of May. We expect applicants to commit until the end of the season, and for many positions you will receive a retention bonus to thank you for staying until the end of the season.

Banff Ski Hub - July through mid-October hiring
Our Banff office is located at 119 Banff Ave, this is below the Ski Hub and in the same building as the Elk and Oarsman pub. A Human Resources representative will be based at the Ski Hub from July 2nd on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays between 8:30am and 4:30am. The phone number is 403-762-6546. If you are living or visiting Banff this summer this is your perfect opportunity to have a job interview with us (for the majority of our positions) and be given a job offer for our upcoming season.

Phone Interviews
Not everyone will be in Australia in August, Banff by mid-October or lives in Ontario! So we want to make it possible for other prospective job candidates to come work at our spectacular mountain resort. We will be holding phone interviews for some of our positions, and if you meet our hiring criteria we will be able to offer you a position before you arrive in Banff.

A contract must be signed from both parties, and upon arrival you must;

• Adhere to the grooming policy
• Hold a working holiday visa (if non-Canadian) or be eligible to work in Canada
• Have a Social Insurance Number
• Have travel insurance or health care
• Have a bank account with direct deposit information ready to give us
• Have a current Criminal Record Check if you are Canadian

1. Cover letter and resume - Providing us with an updated version of your cover letter and resume will make it easier for our team to set you up with the most appropriate interviews.
2. Written reference letters - Because we complete reference checks for all successful applicants, it is to your advantage to provide us with written recommendations from previous employers. Otherwise we require a phone number or email address.
3. Proof of Visa - Please bring with you a photocopy of your work visa to your interview.
4. Dress to impress - If you make a good impression and look the part, you will increase your chances of securing a position for the season.
